Film subsidies in Thailand fall under the following categories:

Tax Rebates
One of the most common forms of film subsidy is tax rebates. If a filmmaker spends a certain amount on crew, equipment, and locations in a specific region, they might be eligible for a cash rebate. Thailand has a cash rebate program of 30%. Fulfilling the requirements saves producers money on their budget. Furthermore, producers may earn a discount as well.

Location Support
Earn subsidies by renting out film locations, providing crew members, or assisting with permits and logistics.

Co-production Agreements
Actively participate in international collaborations between filmmakers from different countries. These partnerships can result in financial support, sharing resources, and both parties benefiting from the agreement.

Loans or Investments
Some regions in Thailand may offer production companies low-interest loans or investments to production companies in exchange for profit sharing.

Cash Grants
Local governments may provide direct cash payments to producers or the production company to help cover the cost of film production. These grants might be offered based on factors such as creating local jobs or money spent in the region.
